About Us
Over the last 4 years (up to 2010), through the generosity of the public and extremely hard work by multiple volunteers across Munster and beyond, Build4life/Cystic Fibrosis have managed to raise € 2,200,000 to develop dedicated facilities for adults with Cystic Fibrosis attending Cork University Hospital (CUH). We are due to open the dedicated Adult CF Unit in the CUH in April 2011.
Build4life/Cystic Fibrosis is a charitable voluntary organisation with no staff. All work that benefits the organisation is done on a voluntary basis.
After the media attention received by Build4Life/Cystic Fibrosis we were approached by parents of paediatric Cystic Fibrosis patients. These parents came with a view to replicating the success of Build for Life/Cystic Fibrosis in order to develop facilities for children within the hospital.
So now we would like to raise €2,000,000 to continue. Our aim is to raise funds to build a dedicated Children's Unit in the Cork University Hospital. We are appealing to organisations, schools, businesses and individuals to organise a fund raising event or make a donation to raise vital funds for Cystic Fibrosis.
