About Build4Life – Cystic Fibrosis
Formed in 2007 Build4Life is a voluntary registered charity which raises funds for all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis care in Cork University Hospital (CUH). Build4Life was the first charity to raise funds to develop life saving isolated inpatient and outpatient CF facilities in any hospital in Ireland.
To date, through the generosity of the public, the business community and extremely hard work by multiple volunteers across Munster and beyond, Build4life has managed to raise € 3,800,000.00 to develop dedicated facilities for adults and children with Cystic Fibrosis attending Cork University Hospital (CUH).
25% of Ireland’s Cystic Fibrosis population attend Cork University Hospital.
In June 2011 the Build4Life funded adult outpatient clinic opened in Cork University Hospital.
In 2014 Build4Life will fund the new adult isolated inpatient bedrooms which will be located in Ward 5B in Cork University Hospital. This new facility will benefit from a €2,300,000.00 investment from our charity and will be the largest philanthropic donation in Cork University Hospital’s history.
In 2015 Build4Life will invest €1,000,000.00 in a new Children’s Isolated Cystic Fibrosis facility in CUH.
We are currently raising funds for the Children’s isolated facilities.
Build4Life is also raising funds to support all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis care in Cork University Hospital including medical equipment and staff.
