Formed in 2007, Build4Life is a voluntary registered charity. Based in Munster we were the first charity to raise funds to develop life saving isolated Inpatient and Outpatient Cystic Fibrosis (CF) facilities in any hospital in Ireland.

Funds raised to date; €3,800,000

In 2011 Build4Life funded the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Outpatient Clinic including all the medical equipment in Cork University Hospital (CUH) at a cost of €350,000

In 2014 Build4Life is funding the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Inpatient Bedrooms including all the medical equipment in Ward 5B in CUH at at cost of  €2,300,000. Ward 5B will be the primary respiratory inpatient facility for all of Munster. This donation from our charity will be the largest philanthropic donation in the history of CUH.

Build4Life will fund the Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Outpatient Clinic and Inpatient Bedrooms in CUH at a cost of €1,000,000.

We have already raised €800,000 for the Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Facilities and we need to raise a further €200,000.

We have also funded all of the medical equipment for all the Cystic Fibrosis departments in CUH.

We have recently provided funding for medical equipment that will allow children with CF to be treated in single rooms in CUH until the new Build4Life funded Cystic Fibrosis facilities are developed.
We have also purchased iPads for children with CF who are inpatients in CUH. We have recently secured 3 medical staff members for the Children’s CF Department, which include a new full time CF Nurse specialist, a half time physiotherapist and a half time psychologist.

Build4Life is the only charity funding these Cystic Fibrosis facilities in CUH.

Please support our charity and you will help extend the life of a person with Cystic Fibrosis attending Cork University Hospital (CUH).
